The garden has literally sprung to life. The bees are buzzing, the birds are busy and the grass is growing. Even though it has been a while to get going Spring is definitely here. I feel the need to get on...write a list.. achieve and be purposeful. Pace is everything though. I could easily tip into frustration if i don't tick many things off the list, or steam through the list and over stretch myself. So today my focus will be to buzz away GENTLEY and with awareness and pace. Happy Thursday..enjoy the BUZZ (gently), Sarah-Jayne x
Morning journeyers well it seems we are in for a soak in Mid Devon according to the trees of my garden! The tiny blossom of the Ash are very sweet whereas the Oak is barely showing itself. How are the trees doing where you are? Would love to know how far ahead/behind we are in Devon... have a lovely Wednesday everyone Cxx
Morning journeyers. This is a huge silver birch tree at the front of my house. It is bursting with green swaying branches now we are more fully in spring. The sound of the leaves in the wind and the wonderful birds that live within and upon it fill my day with joy. I noticed yesterday this tiny sprouting of three leaves aspiring to become a branch from the trunk. This reminded me that sometimes growth (wood element power) happens not in the obvious places and that it's good to notice it. So today in my life I will notice the places where growth in my life is happening, even it is only a little. Have a wondrous day, Sarah-Jayne x
It was New Moon early this morning. In the northern hemisphere the energetic year is getting going now as we are past the Spring Equinox. TODAY really is the day to focus on your resolutions and intents for 2017. The wood energy of spring provides the vision and the dynamism to really get moving. The new moon is all about intentions for the month. So stack the odds in your favour by taking time today to notice where you are right now, and make a plan for forward movement and change. The new moon and the new season can really help. And remember...start where you are with out value judgement...this will fuel your changes even more. New moon love, Sarah-Jayne 🌙
Hello lovely journeyers, today perfectly in tune with the new moon, and the first new moon of Spring, I start a new cycle. My youngest son is 18 today and I feel so emotional; I feel so proud of the young man he has become, sad his Daddy can’t share the day with us and celebrate this lovely soul we gave life to (I’m sure is tuning from the non-physical though) and so very excited about the plans he has to shine in the world.
Today I am stepping through a gateway and what better than one of the ‘gateway’ Acupuncture points on the Liver meridian of the Wood element. Liver 14, ‘Gate of Hope’ (also called Cycle gate) sums up perfectly the Spring energy of vision, positivity, hopefulness and positivity for the future. This moon cycle will therefore be about me gathering myself ready for my next steps, considering my life when mothering is not centre stage and embracing the scary freedom this brings. Of course as is the way of the world my son metaphorically ran through his gateway at top ‘Wood energy’ speed without a backward glance shrieking and jumping for joy, as he starts his adult life. For me I will take at least the month and probably the whole season to begin to embrace this huge transition.
So lovely journeyers do you have a transition, a gateway to negotiate at the moment, this Spring new moon is the perfect opportunity.
Go well, lots of love Carol xx
Good morning journeyers, after a gloriously sunny and warm Spring Mothering Sunday yesterday it was cold last night and the car needed de-icing, such is the back and forth of the early Spring. To be honest I feel a bit like that too, lots of Spring ideas for work and the garden but still wanting long lie-ins and piles of blankets.
On my garden amble yesterday I was looking at my willow branches that I stuck in the earth late last Autumn hoping they would root, I wasn't sure if they had 'taken' as they looked quite dead but I gently rubbed the bark and I could see green underneath, success!
It reminded me to be patient, that Water energy is still strong within, feeding and nurturing the rising Wood energy sap, it just takes time to come to the surface and show itself. So even though we are now in 'British Summer Time' the warmth is tenuous, the energy still deep, so trust the energy is within and be patient.
Have a lovely Monday love Carol xx
Most people make resolutions in January which according to the Chinese 5 elements is when we are deep in Winter dreaming time and the ideas, hopes and dreams are still consolidating. Once we step into Spring however those seeds/ideas we have nourished over Winter are now ready to grow and boy can they grow fast now there is more light and flow/hydration available to us. So make the most of the season and get planning, visioning and creating. The Wood element really nourishes our creative side so get out your journal and draw and write your dreams for the year..then make a step towards it. Happy Thursday, SJ and Carol
Morning journeyers. Spring is the time of rebirth, the creative energy of the Wood element gives the impetus for getting things done and birthing the dreams we had over Winter.
Last week I visited this gorgeous Tolmen stone (Tolmen meaning hole stone) beside the North Teign river at Scorhill on Dartmoor. It is a popular place for setting intentions and birthing new projects as the large hole is plenty big enough for a person to climb through easily. As humans we often need a ritual to create change and move forward and Wood energy loves planning, organisation, ritual and ceremony to create markers in time.
So what you are ready to birth and do you have a Spring ritual you do to anchor this in...have a lovely day, love Carol x 🌱🌱
