Autumn to Winter...

Are you feeling it, the journey from Autumn into Winter? In Devon where we live it is still very mild but as soon as the temperature drops we will fall head long into Winter. I feel the change of the season in my body first, for Winter this brings a feeling of wanting to slow right down, sleep more and eat warming foods; my pjs and dressing gown become my best friends.

In terms of the 5 elements we are journeying from the Metal element to Water; we now have the opportunity to use all the richness and nuggets we have gathered together this Autumn from the past year and take them into the deep Winter dream time. Here we can build up our reserves of energy for Spring growth as well as incubate our plans and dreams for the next energetic year. In nature we see this in the way all the goodness from plant matter rots down and enriches the water making it alive and mineral rich which in turn will create fertile conditions for plant growth.

Winter may not be a dynamic time of year but it is a necessary quiet time packed with amazing resources, depth, fortitude, power, healing and strength. It feels a bit diving deep into the Earth and connecting with the Water table at it's deepest level with all the gifts and resources waiting there for us. This Winter I'm looking forward to journalling and getting clear on what I want from 2016 to look and feel like...what plans have you got for the approaching Winter? Love Carol x
