The Spiral of Healing

Morning journeyers... as we are still in the energy of the dark moon I have been pondering the deep, receptive energy of this time of year and its potential for deep healing.
The Water element, with its cleansing qualities, is essential for healing. Its powerful flow floods the body, mind, spirit with change and washes away anything we choose to release into the spiral of transformation 🌀
It has long been observed that the healing path is not a straight one but rather one that we spiral into and out of as we receive deeper and deeper insights that bring clarity and new insights. Being in the centre of the vortex can feel starkly painful and intense but in this place we get to see and feel the depth and nub of the issue. It is here that the healing takes place.
So lovely journeyers as we head into the Christmas season where 'stuff' often emerges for healing connect with the Water element within to help you release and heal.

New Moon Pause...

Good morning journeyers... it was new moon this morning at 6.30am. As we fall into the deepening energy of Winter and the Water element, and on the approach to the Solstice on Thursday, this is a sacred time to pause and wait for the returning light.

If we take time to pause we may catch the spark of inspiration that Grandfather Sun brings at the start of everyday and is amplified in true Water element style at the Winter Solstice. This spark is a seed of potential that we can then take into the deep dreaming of this season as we spiral down.

So lovely journeyers, at this bonkers time of year when everyone is on the run, set an intention that even your brief moments of pausing become sacred and that you are open to catching those flashes of inspiration from Spirit.

With lots of love Carol xx 🌑🌠🌀

Happy weekend journeyers A little five element theory for you this morning. In the Seasons autumn, with its letting go of growth and foliage, gives rise to winter, where everything is back to basics, stripped and stark. In the feeding (Shen ) cycle of the Five Element map metal creates water. Think of water condensing on a metal pipe, a window or a mirror. There is another aspect to this too. When analysing tap water vs spring water, the notable difference between the two is the infusion of minerals (metal element) in the spring water. So this weekend notice if your water is flat and empty or sparkley and full of little possibilities. Look to your metal element associations to bring in extra sparkle! Have a wonderful weekend, Sarah-Jayne 💦 ✨ 🌊 ❇ 💦

Dragon's breath...

Good morning journeyers. This morning's post is inspired by my 12 year old autistic lad. He was struggling to get into school (not uncommon) so we took his therapy dog out into the fields for a stomp. It was cold and icy. As we were walking we noticed the valleys were full of mist. In our house this is known as 'Dragon's breath'. My lovely lad piped up "Mum, I love it when the Dragon's breath comes, it reminds me that magic exists, and that helps me to know that everything really is going to be OK ". I smiled deeply inside. He did go on to get into school and have a good day. One of the gifts of winter is we can see further in the landscape, we can sink into ourselves when we become stiller and hibernate a little. For my lad, he knows deep inside him that magic exists, and that everything really will be OK. For him nature mirrors this to him regularly. So today notice what helps you remember magic exists, that everything will be OK. Enjoy the noticing, Sarah-Jayne

Going deeper

Morning journeyers, we are at another transition as we move into Winter time. Over the weekend I was noticing all the autumn leaves in the pond and thinking how they are rotting down and soon would be soil at the bottom.
After the letting go and breaking down of Autumn comes a return to the deepest, most fundamental essence of life, represented so well by the Water element.
When we connect with this deep part of ourselves we can then start to dream how we want the next phase to be, what do we want to start growing metaphorically speaking and bringing into being? ...and these new plans and dreams will be nourished and informed by what we let go of during Autumn. I love this idea, that everything that happens to us, good and bad, helps create our next step.
So as we approach the deep dream time let's trust that clarity for our next step of the journey is on it's way.
Have a lovely day and enjoy the last beautiful days of Autumn, lots of love Carol xx 🍁🍂🍃

Diversity...

Happy weekend journeyers. We are very much at the end of Autumn, with winter having landed here in mid Devon this week. This page will change its emphasis to speak of the water element presently. But before we do, just a word on shedding, on 'Letting go'. We have written about this important aspect of the Autumn alot over the last couple of months, with the trees doing a great job of showing us how to do it. However not all trees let go all at once, evergreens let go a little at a time, over the whole year. Some trees go for a big dramatic colourful shorter sharper letting go, others are slow and steady, a title at a time. This diversity of approach is important to recognise. A huge clear out once a year may not be right for everyone, a little at a time may be better. So this weekend notice how you process, how you let go. Are you all at once or slow and steady,? You may notice the approach is different in certain situations too. It all adds to the diversity that makes up the rich tapestry of being a human. Enjoy, Sarah-Jayne  ❄ 🍃 🍃 ❄

Hard Edges...

Good morning journeyers. As we begin to step from autumn to winter, metal to water, how's your hard edge looking? A pastry cutter, in order to make a good shape, needs to be clear with its edge, to cut straight and true, to be decisive in its action and have hard edges in its approach. Are you happy with the path you are cutting in life, the foot prints you leave behind? Do you have clear edges, bottom lines and morals or are they a bit flip floppy? How influenced are you by other's 'shape'. The last bit of the Autumn is about getting really clear on what you will put up with, and what you will not. What does that bring up for you? Have a wonderful edge exploring day, Sarah-Jayne 🌟 🍁 🗡 🍁 ✨

I transform with the Season

Morning journeyers, this steaming pile of rotting down horse manure and straw on the fields reminded me of all the energy that is generated in transformation. As we are in the transitional, transformational place between Autumn and Winter, this can create a burst of energy or activity, sort of like packing up and unpacking every time we move :D.

So how are things 'hotting up' where you are, is there something to transform as the seasons change?

Wishing you a glorious day, love Carol xx 🍁🍂🍃

Autumn to Winter...

Good morning journeyers, I hope you are still basking in the glow of the beautiful full moon. Although we are still in Autumn it felt like a really wintery moon to me full of depth and beauty.

I wonder, if like me, you are feeling the full on Winter and Water energy approaching. I am feeling the call to cosy up, go deeper and have a mini hibernate. Rather than stomping through my weekend for hours on end this weekend I had a short walk and then stayed in watching luscious, comforting films. So in short I can feel the energy in my body sinking.

The Metal energy of Autumn has a heaviness to it and this carries us deep into the even deeper flowing energy of the Water element of Winter. I always imagine the hidden water ways that traverse the land, hidden from view but still nourishing life, this is what we are starting to tap into as the seasons start to transition.

So notice what your body is telling you, pace yourself more, let your energy dive deep on the more Wintery days so it can touch and recharge from this hidden energy source.

Have a lovely week journeyers ❄️🍁🍂 with love Carol xx

Good morning journeyers. Today let's check in with our metaphorical armour!
In a Knights tale the hero has inherited a heavy old unfitting set of armour from his old boss. He fights valiantly while wearing it. The female metal smith comes up with a new metallic composition for a much lighter, harder, thinner and easier to wear set of armour. There was distrust of this at first, but when tested it performed much better!
Taking heavy metal aspects (guilt, grief, regret, harsh judgements) and forging them in the fire of passion, enthusiasm and excitement for life can mean that our 'life armour' is easier to bear, more flexible, less `stuffy', upgraded even!
So today utilise the Five Element map theory that fire (passion, enthusiasm, love, heart) controls metal (values, morals, judgements, hard structures). What aspect of metal need forging? Enjoy the wondering, Sarah-Jayne 🔥 🔹 ♞ 🔥
