We are moving from water season into wood season. The hedges are greening up and the days are lengthening. The water element of winter is where deep healing happens. Recently in my personal sessions and in group work with peers we have been working with the effects of trauma. In kinesiology we know that the memory of trauma and deep fear is held in the body. One way through is to feel the trauma held, support it to melt, to move through and to release. This often unlocks an increased level of energy and vitality (water element words). This can happen in any season, not just winter and as water feeds wood (growth, creativity and planning) this level of healing is still really relevant in spring.
