Morning journeyers, we often talk about 'riding the wave' of the seasonal energy to make the most of the season and we can also do this in respect of how we eat.
Releasing, letting go, clearing out, decluttering are all Autumnal/Metal element words as we see nature shedding leaves and feel the energy contracting inwards, this is therefore a great time for a gentle cellular declutter and cleanse before we hunker down into Winter.
Here are some simple tips that will support your body to sweep out and declutter those internal corners:
🍂 Up your water intake and decrease caffeine, all flow and letting go in the body happens because of water!
🍃 Increase your vegetable intake, making it a higher percentage of your plate. Try grating some of the gorgeous seasonal root veggies for a colourful salad.
🍁 Eat more vegetarian meals, incorporating beans and lentils and wholegrains, the body knows how to digest these simply and cleanly, releasing more energy for healing
🍂 Enjoy food that is in season, perhaps sign up for a local veg box scheme
🍃 Increase your greens, perhaps have a simple green smoothie as a snack. Greens really support the cleansing process
🍂 Reduce or remove any processed foods, these will slow down the process, hampering the cleansing process
🍁 Get moving, a daily walk will stimulate the lymphatic system to flush what we let go of through the system
