I don't know about you but I'm feeling a bit fed up with Winter now, rain, rain, rain and inside, inside, inside, I realise I'm wishing February away and trying to find March and April and that glorious Spring feeling...but I also realise that this transition time is so important, we can't just jump from deep Winter to purposeful Spring there has to be this time of transition and emmerging. If you have ever given birth you will know that the transition phase is the most challenging physically and mentally, you start questioning everything AND you definitely never want another baby!
So in this transition phase between Winter and Spring is the time to embrace the depth and stillness of the deepest oceans, the place underground where the root is growing slowly down before the shoots can start growing upwards. This is the moment of balance, the pivot time, (the plafe of the Earth element that holds the transition between each season) when the Water changes to Wood in the creative cycle of the five elements.
This is a time, therefore, to hold tight and stay present in your Water element, continue to embrace the Winter darkness and the chance to dream, journal and rest because Spring will surely come and we need to be ready to fully receive it...have a deep Wintery week, with love Carol xx
