Winter healing...

As part of our Winter workshops we often include a guided visualisation journey to a Winter cave where through hibernating you can explore the healing tools and resources of the Water element. The aspect of hibernation is crucial to healthy flow and growth through the coming year and it is so easy to neglect this need in our busy lives. Obviously complete hibernation is not really necessary or desirable for us humans but there are ways we can take the essence of it and weave it through our 21st century lives. Here are some ways...
~ Take more time to rest; afternoon naps, long lie-ins, early nights.
~ Take time to meditate or listen to guided visualisations. This is the most yin time of year and connecting with our inner world is much easier and deeper.
~ Indulge day dreaming; let your imagination explore dreamy possibilities and don't forget to jot the ideas down.
~ Do some crafting and catching up with slow, methodical tasks put aside at busier times of year.
~Try and be slower, more mindful and insular.
~ Eat porridges for breakfast and enjoy nourishing soups and stews thickened with warming pot barley to keep the internal fire well stoked.
This is the time for the internal work which forms the foundation for the year and gives balance to the yang of our firey Summers, so try and find some time to indulge in this gorgeous soft, internal yin time.
With wintery blessings Carol xx ❄💧☁
